#1 Sign Ambitious Driven Women Are Running on Anxiety

You constantly feel the need to stay on top of everything.

The to-do list.
The inbox.
The next goal.

Because the moment you slow down, it will all fall apart.

You tell yourself you’ll relax once everything’s done.
But “everything” is never done, is it?

Here’s the truth…
This isn’t drive or motivation. It’s survival mode.

So many ambitious women believe the only way to quiet anxiety is to do more.

Stay on top of everything.
Work harder.
Stay productive.
Be in control.

But anxiety isn’t solved by effort - it’s fuelled by it.

When your body doesn’t feel safe, your mind will always look for something to fix,
but...

You can’t outwork a fear response.
You can’t outperform survival mode.
You’ll always be trying to keep one step ahead.

And yes - you’ve achieved so much by pushing through this way.

You’ve proved it to yourself and to others time and time again.

But deep down, you know it’s exhausting.

Then there’s the anxiety that kicks in when you start to wonder what would happen if you just broke because you can’t do it that way anymore.

Here’s the thing……Peace doesn’t come from control — it comes from safety.

And the truth is - the more you chase calm through DOING, the more anxious you become.

If this is you, let’s talk. I help ambitious, driven women break-free from anxiety and finally feel safe being successful.

The Hidden Trap of Understanding Your Anxiety

Ever since I became a coach helping clients to overcome anxiety, I’ve noticed something interesting.

Many of my clients come to me with an in-depth understanding of their anxiety, they can explain why it happens, what triggers it and even the science behind it.

While it’s good to be informed, the mind can easily trick us into thinking that understanding our anxiety is the same as finding a solution.

This logical understanding is misleading as we can feel a sense of control — it makes us feel like we’re doing something about it.

But here’s the thing, anxiety doesn’t live in the logical part of the brain. It’s emotional, subconscious, and deeply connected to how safe we feel.

After working with 100s of clients, helping them to release anxiety, the verdict is clear, your logical mind isn’t going to help you because the more you try to understand your anxiety and believe you now have all the answers, the more you stay stuck in the very loop that keeps the anxiety alive

The reality is, overcoming anxiety doesn’t come from understanding it, it comes from releasing it at the level where it exists, the emotional subconscious mind.

When that happens, the nervous system calms, the overthinking stops and you finally feel ‘normal’ again.

If you are sick and tired of feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with anxiety:

Has anxiety stopped or almost stopped you from going on holiday?

It might sound strange talking about holidays at this time of year, but I’m already thinking about next year!

And those thoughts reminded me of a recent conversation I had with a client who almost didn’t go on holiday this year because of her anxiety.

She told me, “I know once I get there, I’m fine. I relax — and my anxiety does too. It’s like my anxiety doesn’t exist when I’m away.”

But in the weeks leading up to it, her mind went into overdrive…
“What if I panic on the plane?”
"What if we hit turbulence and I freak out?"
“What if something goes wrong while I’m away?”
“What if I can’t get home?”

Before she knew it, she was tense, panicky, and cancelling felt safer than going. She really considered backing out.

The problem isn’t the holiday or the flight -it’s the story that her mind was telling her about what might happen.

Her brain started catastrophising, imagining every possible disaster until her body reacted as though it was real and full-blown anxiety kicked in.

Here’s the truth — anxiety wasn’t warning her about danger, it was reacting to her thoughts. Making it real.

When you calm the head chatter and catastrophic thoughts, your mind thinks you’re safe, your body will follow.

And that’s when you realise the fear isn’t in the plane or the place…

It’s in the thinking.
