On Thursday, we took our final steps together as the ‘Life Lived Better’ walking group.
Looking back, we’re incredibly proud of the impact we made - both in numbers and in people’s lives:
• Around 100 walks over 15 months
• Around 1,500 participants in total
• Around 6,000 miles walked
• Around 525,000 calories burned
But the numbers only tell part of the story. Along the way, friendships were formed, conversations blossomed and many of those talks touched on mental health. The value of those moments is beyond measure.
We want to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us - whether it was once or many times. Together, we’ve shown that when communities come together, life really can feel that little bit better.
Our goal was to create walking groups and, in time, expand into a wellness service that could make a difference in the face of today’s mental health challenges. While we didn’t achieve everything we hoped for, we are proud to say we gave it our all. If these walks helped even one person, every single step was worthwhile.
