Unlike many places you can go for a massage, at The Therapy Rooms, a therapeutic massage treatment involves an in depth consultation and spinal assessment. You’ll be asked to talk about your lifestyle and your therapist will be able to make practical constructive suggestions as to how you can improve your health. For most people, their health and the reason they need a massage, isn’t just the result of one simple event, but many lifestyle choices. At The Therapy Rooms we can help in, not only dealing with the symptoms of the problem but also helping you to find out the underlying causes.

Yesterday marked the start of so it’s the perfect time to remember just how important it is to wash our hands regularly throughout the day. Such a simple habit. And one we should all still be practising!

Here’s why handwashing matters:

🔹 It keeps you healthy by removing germs that cause colds, flu, and other infections.

🔹 It protects others, helping stop germs from spreading in our homes, workplaces, and communities.

🔹 It builds lifelong healthy habits - good hand hygiene is one of the easiest ways to stay well.

A few seconds with soap and water can protect you and the people around you 🙌💙

We love hearing from our clients after your treatments!

“Still amazed how straight I am standing after my treatment. I didn’t know my pelvis was out of alignment, I just knew I was in pain. Now in after care mode with frozen peas and so much more comfortable. Relief! If anyone has back/joint pain but thinks it’s just an ache that will eventually go away, then a visit to The Therapy Room is a must. I will sleep much better tonight. Thank you.”

Deep tissue massage isn’t a standalone treatment it's one of the many tools in our toolbox! This massage is a technique used within a therapeutic session to target stubborn tension and long-term discomfort.

When muscles stay tight for a long time or after an injury, they can develop adhesions, in other words those tough, painful knots that limit movement and cause inflammation. These adhesions can restrict blood flow and make everyday movement uncomfortable.

Deep tissue massage uses slow, firm pressure to work into these deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. By breaking down adhesions, it helps:

✔ Relieve pain
✔ Improve mobility
✔ Reduce inflammation
✔ Restore normal function

An aromatherapy massage has many benefits including:

💐Reducing Stress and Anxiety

The combination of soothing touch and calming essential oils (like lavender or chamomile) helps lower cortisol levels, promoting deep relaxation and a sense of mental calm.

💐Relieving Muscle Tension and Pain

Gentle massage techniques combined with aromatherapy can ease tight muscles, reduce stiffness, and alleviate discomfort, helping your body feel lighter and more flexible.

💐Enhancing Mood and Emotional Well-being

Aromatherapy can trigger the brain to release endorphins and serotonin, boosting your mood, energy, and overall sense of well-being.

What's not to love 😍

Have you heard of Myofascial Release?

Myofascial Release Therapy is a gentle, hands-on technique that focuses on easing tension in the fascia. This is the thin layer of connective tissue that surrounds and supports your muscles throughout the body.

When this tissue becomes tight or restricted (often due to stress, injury, or poor posture), it can cause pain, stiffness, and reduced movement. Myofascial Release is used to:

✨ Relieve chronic pain and tightness
✨ Improve flexibility and movement
✨ Support postural alignment
✨ Enhance overall relaxation and wellbeing

Unlike deep tissue massage, this technique uses slow, sustained pressure to gently release tension and restore balance to the body.
