Hello friends and clients!
Just thought I’d pop on here and say hi 👋
I’m doing something exciting at the moment…back to working out with the best PT in the North East and
It’s been several years since I really focussed on my fitness and dialled in on some serious weight lifting. In fact most of you will know I ate my way through lockdown and then after that some serious personal stress!
The result being that I felt extremely unfit and not my usual strong, capable self. Think Louisa from Encanto when she’s losing her power haha!
Here are some reflections so far:
💭 People have been commenting on my weight since I was in primary school. It’s not anyone’s business so I won’t be talking about it.
💭 Kev is an amazing personal trainer. He’s this awesome mix of perfectionist and extreme kindness, he gets life and makes sure my form is perfect no matter what!
💭 I do what I need to do to get the job done, wearing torn T-shirts and my silly workout gloves so my hands don’t get hurt.
💭 If it isn’t scheduled I don’t do it, I’ve learnt I have to put training into my diary - ‘I’ll do it in the afternoon’ doesn’t work for me.
💭 I vomited on the first day as my body was so unused to being challenged and was totally fine!
💭 I can’t wait to feel strong again and throw myself down a ski slope/impress people with my suitcase lifting skills!
💭 I need to eat big healthy meals so that I’m not binging at the end of the day.
How are you going in terms of looking after yourself?
Will your habits ensure you are upright, strong and able as life goes on? I hope so! I’ll be reporting further as the swans grow 💪🏼 (IFYKYK)
