CREATINE! You might have heard of it but not sure if you should take it?

Goddesses - Creatine is a naturally occurring substance in the body, mostly in the muscles and essentially, is used to produce energy.

We can get it from dietary sources such as red meat, chicken and fish, but some women choose to supplement this with creatine powder...and for good reason!

Here are just 5 reasons why women should take creatine...

1 It can increase energy levels - because it boosts ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production in the body, which is basically our body's energy currency that powers our muscles and movement.

2. It can improve exercise performance - increased energy levels can contribute to improved performance when we work out. You might find you can lift heavier, or run further, which all helps to improve overall fitness.

3. It can increase lean muscle - when you take creatine, you increase your energy, you can lift heavier which means you increase the amount of lean muscle mass in your body. And I don't need to tell you the benefits of having more muscle mass.

4. It can improve cognitive function - Research has shown that creatine can help improve memory, attention and learning as well as reduce mental fatigue.

5. It can improve mood, anxiety & depression - A study showed that when taken in conjunction with antidepressants, creatine reduced depression symptoms in women.

So there you have it! Creatine isn't just for athletes and bodybuilders!

Happy World Health Day 🩷

Health isn’t just physical. And health can look different to everyone.

If you look after yourself physically with good nutrition and exercise…do you also look after your mental health?

If you look after your mental health, how is your physical health?

It’s important to remember that we should never assume we know how “healthy” someone is based on what we see externally.

When looking after our health we should take a holistic approach because mental and physical health hugely impact one another.

Find that balance that allows you to nourish your body and mind, and enjoy living your life…because life is too short to have regrets.

And if any of you beautiful women out there would like to chat to me about how I could help you find that balance, drop me a DM.

Take care Goddesses. Much love xx

Goddesses! We all know that dieting sucks...but we still insist on "going on a diet" when we've an event approaching.

Wouldn't it feel sooo much better if you didn't have to diet, but instead found that balance between good nutrition and enjoyment of food?

Here are 3 alternative approaches you can take to traditional dieting, that moves you away from the restriction mindset typically associated with weight loss.

DM me if you want to know more about any of these approaches x

Goddesses! Perfect doesn't exist.

Because everyone has their own definition of perfection. What YOU think is the "perfect body" will be completely different to what someone else thinks.

Yet we continue to strive for what is deemed to be perfect - usually influenced by society & the media.

What's interesting, is that if you look back over the last few decades (centuries even), what was thought to be the perfect body has changed quite drastically!

Always trying to reach perfection is exhausting & really, you're setting yourself up to fail, because the goalposts keep changing.

AND, more often than not, our quest for physical perfection is based on how we LOOK rather than health & fitness.

Here are my thoughts on how to stop trying to be perfect:

1. Stop comparing yourself to others. As the saying goes, comparison is the thief of joy. If you're always trying to be like someone else, you don't see how amazing you are & you miss out on actually living your life.

2. Focus on health instead of appearance. Your body is incredible. Think about everything it does for you every single day. But, like maintaining a car - you fuel it, you keep it running, you service & MOT it - you must do the same for your body to keep it in good condition so it will keep going for many years to come without needing costly repairs.

3. Think progress, not perfection. Every day that you hit your protein goal or you move your body or you write in your journal is a step closer to a fitter, healthier you. Stop worrying about where you aren't (yet) or what you don't have (yet) & focus on taking the actions needed to actually get you there!

4. Be a supporter of other women. I think we live in a society where, in order to make ourselves feel better we tear others down. It's easy to bitch about other women or make comments about their bodies but this is just a reflection of our own insecurities & in reality, being bitchy about others doesn't make you feel any better...being positive about, and towards, other women is actually really empowering & feels much more satisfying.

Goddesses...trying to lose weight on your own can be lonely and really hard work.

It can feel like the whole world is against you and temptation is around every corner.

So why keep slogging away by yourself when you could get the tools, knowledge, support and accountability you need to achieve lasting results?

I understand how you feel. And I understand that investing in yourself can feel like a huge commitment...but what's the cost of you staying where you are?

If you choose to work with me, I won't just help you reach your weight loss goals. I'll help you change the way you think about yourself. I'll help you to see that you CAN lose the weight and keep it off without restrictive diets and missing out on actually having a life.

It's not a quick fix (because quick fixes rarely work in the long term), but it's totally worth it if you're willing to take that chance on yourself.

Why not book a Discovery Call with me? There's absolutely NO commitment, it's simply an opportunity for us to get on a call and chat about your goals, desires and needs and find out how I can help you achieve them.
