We are pleased to share that Allan Court will be introducing new names for each floor of our home. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a warm, inclusive, and respectful environment for all who live and work here.
Therefore, during our activities, we have been consulting with our residents on renaming each floor of Allan Court and recording their preferences.
After thoughtful consideration, we are delighted to announce the following new names:
• The Dementia Unit (1st Floor) will become the Maple Memory Suite.
• The Ground Floor will be known as the Eden Suite.
• The Lower Ground Floor will be know as the Oasis Suite.
The decision to rename each floor stems from our desire to move away from the clinical connotation of the term "unit" and instead adopt names that reflect comfort, dignity, and a sense of belonging.
We believe these names better represent the atmosphere we strive to create and will contribute positively to the experience of our residents and their loved ones.
