This tiger in the tree position is often a comfortable way for babies to be held in their early weeks. It aids digestion, eases wind/colicky symptoms and offers calm from the stimulating world that surrounds a baby in the fourth trimester.

The transition from womb to world creates high needs and so tinies enjoy plenty of rocking, swaying, movement, cuddles and feeds throughout our class time together, just like at home!

The Daisy Foundation Newmarket

Im Helen and Mummy to three of my very own Daisy babies. Daisy has played a huge role in parenthood for me since I attended Daisy Birthing classes myself as a new Mummy to be. I never knew or believed birth could be positive and really expected the worst, after all thats inevitable in the end surely? I wondered whether preparing for birth could actually make a difference and as for actual motherhood, I'm not sure I had thought much past the birth! Cue Daisy…

I loved the weekly time to myself at Daisy Birthing classes to share my pregnancy with other local Mummies to be, bond with my baby and ease away those pregnancy niggles. I listened well and hoped the combination of yoga moves, relaxation, breathing techniques, birth hypnosis and active antenatal education would help me when the day came! When my birthing day arrived I was surprised how much I did know, instinctively I started to work and breathe my way through the stages of my labour whilst keeping calm, confident and in control. Daisy Birthing techniques really did work and I was so proud of what I achieved. I felt empowered and I had to know more. I jumped at the chance to train as a teacher and find out about the method behind the Daisy magic. There is always more to learn about birth but Daisy manages to make it current, uncomplicated and educate you in a way thats easy to understand and intuitive. Daisy is about all birth choices with education that is evidenced based helping you to be informed and make the choices that are right for you and your family. I have never stopped being blown away by Daisy and how it puts Mum and her growing family right at the centre. No judgement but support and understanding where it is needed.

Each of my pregnancy and birthing experiences would have been so different without The Daisy Foundation playing the key role it has in them. I am so happy to know that Daisy continues to make this difference to families in our local area. Maybe you are a first time Mum who has some idea about birth or non. Maybe you are a second or fifth time Mum who knows you can have a positive journey and wants to refresh. Maybe you believe it can be different to the stories you have heard or the experience you recall having. Daisy has your back from 14 weeks of pregnancy through to when your baby is taking those first steps and ready to explore their ever changing world.

Alongside our Daisy Birthing weekly classes for Mum to be, Couples workshops and Daisy Parent courses ensure you AND your partner are well informed and able to support each other in your birthing and baby journey. This can help you support your learning together alongside Daisy Birthing classes or stand alone as a workshop or fully comprehensive birth and baby course where we run through everything we discuss in weekly Daisy Birthing classes and so much more.
