With 27 local participants, the trial was to find out if starting labour earlier than usual, at 38 weeks, makes it less likely that shoulder dystocia will happen in women whose babies appear to be bigger than expected.

🚨 Last week we welcomed the RAPID2 team for a remote monitoring visit!

We have now recruited 120 participants to this study. πŸ™Œ

RAPID2 is investigating whether a local anaesthetic injection given by paramedics can reduce pain and improve health outcomes for patients with hip fractures outside of the hospital.
