Employers Service - Working with employers to provide tailored support promoting staff wellbeing Are you experiencing mental ill health? Do you need help to return to paid employment? We provide individually tailored support without time restraints to people who have experienced mental ill health so that they can gain paid employment. We can provide:
- A one to one personalised service to suit your needs
- Emphasis on the sort of work that you want to do
- Help with writing your CV, covering letters and application forms
- Individualised job searches that suit you
- Help to access training, gain new skills and qualifications
- Links with local services and employers
- Tailored support to meet your specific needs
- Help in applying for jobs and attending interviews
- Guidance for identifying and requesting reasonable adjustments at work
- In work support and emplyer liaison if required
- Support and guidance in claiming benefits

There are several opportunities to join the National Trust team and help care for some of the Island’s special places:

⚓ Assistant Harbour Master: Based at Newtown National Nature Reserve, you’ll help support the safe and smooth running of the harbour. This includes assisting visiting boats, monitoring moorings, sharing knowledge of the estuary with visitors and helping protect this important wildlife site. (2 roles available).

🧹 Holiday Cottage Cleaner: Help prepare our beautiful holiday cottages around the Island for guests. On changeover days you’ll make sure cottages are spotless, welcoming and ready for visitors, while also keeping an eye out for any maintenance issues. (2 roles available).

🤝 Community, Participation & Volunteering Coordinator: A people-focused role supporting volunteers and community engagement. You’ll help build relationships with local groups, support volunteering opportunities and connect more people with the work of the National Trust.

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with Palladium Isle of Wight and Isle of Wight Youth Trust to deliver the Connect to Work Programme.

Launched on 2 February this year, this Government‑backed initiative provides zero‑exclusion employment support for anyone who needs help finding work or staying in their current role.

Working Towards Wellbeing will be offering specialist support for individuals who face challenges with employment due to Learning Disabilities, Autism, or ADHD.
