Working Towards Well-Being Providing support to retain and gain paid employment for adults with mental health conditions Are you experiencing mental ill health?

Do you need help to return to paid employment? We provide individually tailored support without time restraints to people who have experienced mental ill health so that they can gain paid employment. We can provide:
- A one to one personalised service to suit your needs
- Emphasis on the sort of work that you want to do
- Help with writing your CV, covering letters and application forms
- Individualised job searches that suit you
- Help to access training, gain new skills and qualifications
- Links with local services and employers
- Tailored support to meet your specific needs
- Help in applying for jobs and attending interviews
- Guidance for identifying and requesting reasonable adjustments at work
- In work support and emplyer liaison if required
- Support and guidance in claiming benefits

Experienced Support/SEN Workers Required

Due to an increase in customers attending our centre in Newport and our respite accommodation getting very busy, Way Forward are looking for experienced Support/SEN Workers to join our dedicated staff team. We have two vacancies available:

Bank Worker
Part-Time Contract Worker

Ideally the candidate will be a driver but this is not essential. Competitive rates of pay and variable pay rates for out of hours and weekend working after a probation period

Volunteers Required

We are looking for passionate volunteers to help with our busy centre in Newport. We offer different sessions daily and need help with the preparation, assisting with a session and helping with clearing up.

Sessions that need your help are:

Cooking
Allotment (at Northwood)

Glee
Drama

The ideal candidate will play an important role in ensuring their café operates smoothly and efficiently, providing excellent service to their customers. This position requires a proactive individual who is passionate about food and customer service, with a keen eye for detail, food hygiene and cleanliness.

Skills / Requirements for this role :

- Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Food and Hygiene Certificates required.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during busy periods.
- Basic maths skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Previous experience as kitchen porter / assistant is preferred; along with a willingness to learn and take further training.
