As some of you may be aware, Vestas recently underwent a business restructure. Many staff members transitioned into new roles within the company, while others took voluntary redundancy or were unfortunately made redundant.
For some time now, Vestas has been committed to investing in the mental health and wellbeing of their employees, and we at Statera Initiative have been privileged to support them on this journey.
Over the past two years, we've worked closely with Vestas, delivering workshops on mental health awareness, training Wellbeing Champions, and running wellbeing drop-in sessions.
Following these recent changes, the Head of Operations and Training Team wanted to support the remaining staff—offering guidance, boosting morale, and ensuring teams felt equipped to move forward. Karen and I put our heads together and designed a bespoke 2.5-hour workshop tailored to their needs.
💡 The first part of the session focused on understanding change, recognising personal responses to it, and exploring its impact on wellbeing.
💡 The second part encouraged open and honest conversations about strengths, qualities, and how each team member contributes to the whole. We also explored what individuals can and can’t control in times of change—while emphasising the influence they do have, including over their own wellbeing and that of their colleagues.
The feedback has been incredible, and we’re so grateful to have been a part of this transition. Change is never easy, but when people feel seen, supported, and valued, they can move forward with greater confidence.
James Luter, Head of Operations at Vestas, shared his thoughts on the importance of this kind of support: "In times of change, it’s vital that our teams feel supported—not just professionally, but emotionally too. This workshop created a space for open conversations, reflection, and mutual support, which is essential for maintaining morale and strengthening our teams for the future."
A huge thank you to Vestas for prioritising the wellbeing of their people—it makes all the difference. We also want to take this opportunity to wish all Vestas staff the very best for the future, whether they are continuing their journey with the company or moving on to new opportunities.
