It is very important to test for BBVs if there is any chance of having one, as some BBV's such as hepatitis C are considered silent as some people can live with hepatitis C and not have any symptoms for many years. Even when present, symptoms aren't always obvious and can vary from person to person. The good news is that testing for hepatitis C is quick and easy.

If you are unsure of how hepatitis C be contracted, you can find out more here: https://orlo.uk/NX3Qa

Concerned about your own drinking — or someone else’s? You’re not alone, and there are steps you can take. 💙
You don’t have to handle this alone. Small steps can lead to big changes. 💫

Here are four things you can do:
📋 Track your drinking - keep a daily diary of your alcohol use.
💡 Identify triggers - Reflect on what might be causing your drinking.
📉 Start cutting back - Reducing your intake or taking a break can improve your wellbeing.
🤝 Seek support - You don’t have to face this on your own, help and support is available.

January can be a fresh start, but it doesn't mean that the pressure to drink disappears. Recognising pressure, and having steps in place to help you keep control, can be helpful.

Below are a few practical ways to navigate pressure around drinking:
➡️ Be aware of situations where you might be pressured to drink and plan for this beforehand.
➡️ Plan activities that don’t involve drinking.
➡️ Set a limit for events where you are likely to experience pressure.
➡️ Tell someone you trust that you want to stick to a limit so they can have your back.
➡️ Set expectations with others in advance that you won’t be drinking.

Being able to combat pressure to drink can make a big difference when it comes to being in control of your intake.
