🚑Isle of Wight Ambulance Service celebrates being first ambulance trust to achieve 100% emergency ready defibrillators🚑

We are delighted to share that thanks to the hard work of our Island communities, volunteers and ambulance staff, The Circuit has confirmed we are the first ambulance service in the UK to achieve 100% of our registered defibrillators as 'emergency ready' and all checked in the past three months.

On the Island there are nearly 570 registered Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPADs), available to help support someone facing an out of hospital cardiac arrest.

The Circuit is a platform where these devices are registered and connects all 14 ambulance services in the UK, so when someone calls 999 in the event of a cardiac arrest, the nearest defibrillator can be located, and rescuers signposted to it.

Thank you to all the teams and individuals who have made this possible including those who have kindly fundraised for and donated devices.
