Cornwall Council wants to hear from everyone — including children and young people — about what ageing well means to you. 💬

Your views will help shape Cornwall’s application to become an Age-Friendly Community, part of a World Health Organisation network that supports people to live well at every age.

Over 700 people have already taken part, and the insights are fascinating — but we’d love to hear from even more of you!

❓Did you know you can manage repeat prescriptions in the NHS App?

💡 You can easily choose where your prescriptions are sent. So, if you know you'll be away from home, you can change your nominated pharmacy from within the app.

💊You can also order your prescription at any time that suits you – no need to wait until your GP surgery opens.

⌛Please allow two working days for the GP to approve your request.

🎄 Young Adults Support Group – Christmas Wreath Making 🎄

We’re getting into the festive spirit at our next Young Adults Support Group, where we’ll be making Christmas wreaths together.

This session is a lovely opportunity to get creative, connect with others, and enjoy some relaxed, seasonal fun. All materials will be provided – just come along and join in.

🕒 Time: 17.00 -19.00
📍 Location: The Cove Macmillan Support Centre

✋Volunteers Needed

🚶‍➡️🚶‍♀️‍➡️Following the incredible success of the weekly Wellbeing Walks at Newquay Zoo and the Boating Lake, our Social Prescribing Team are looking to recruit some more Walk Leaders to expand their team of volunteers. They have two walks taking place each week, both start at 9.45 and run on Mondays and Fridays. They last around 1 hour and are aimed at people of all abilities. They are fun, social walks that provide an opportunity to get out and about in Newquay, meet new people and spend time in nature.

💻All training is provided by the Ramblers Association and entails some online learning (3 hours approx.) and a couple of hours at a face to face session. We can also provide first aid training for those interested, and it's all free!

📆You don't need to commit to walking every week, but any time you can give would be greatly appreciated.
