I qualified as a Beauty Therapist in June 1999 with a BTEC National Diploma in Beauty Therapy Sciences; it's not all just polish and glitter :)
Between 1999 and early 2003 I worked in a number of salons in the North of England. After relocating to Cornwall in 2003 I discovered the importance and healing benefits of talking therapies. As a result between 2003 and 2013 I have have provided support, in practitioner roles, to Women affected by Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence. Having been employed by West Cornwall Women's Aid, Cornwall Women's Refuge Trust and the Women's Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (Cornwall), I am passionate about Women's issues, protecting women from Domestic Abuse and Sexual violence and about addressing the inequality faced by Women globally.
