Month’s Mind and Acknowledgement Notice from the family of the late Seamus O’Hare, Carrickbracken, Camlough.
We, the family of the late Seamus O’Hare, wish to express our deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all who offered such kindness, support and comfort during our recent bereavement.
Seamus was a much-loved husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. The support we received during the wake and funeral was overwhelming and we will be forever grateful to everyone who helped us through this difficult time.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all who cared for Seamus. A special word of thanks to Aoibheann Hutchinson, who looked after Seamus with such compassion and kindness. Our heartfelt thanks also to the District Nurses, Macmillan Nurses and Palliative Care Nurses — we are deeply grateful to you all.
We thank everyone who attended the wake and funeral, sent sympathy cards, Mass offerings, messages via social media, flowers and those who brought refreshments to the house. A special thank you to Hughes Foodhall Camlough, Seamus & Niamh Murphy and the Canal Court Hotel.
Sincere thanks to Shane O’Neill’s GAC for the use of their facilities, Slane Transport, Gerard & Paudie Smith, Owen Murphy, St. Monica’s Boxing Club and the many stewards who directed traffic throughout the wake and funeral. We also wish to thank St. Killian’s GAC Whitecross and Whitecross Community Hub for the use of their catering equipment during the wake.
A heartfelt word of thanks to Fr. Eugene O’Neill for celebrating the funeral Mass and burial, Fr. Sean Larkin, Deacon Philip Carder, Catherine Clarke (Sacristan) and Kerrie Kennedy for her beautiful musical enhancement of the Mass. Thank you to Lissummon GFC, Sacred Heart Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School for providing a guard of honour outside the chapel.
We are deeply grateful to Shane O’Neill’s GAC for the guard of honour shown to Seamus on his final journey from his home to his resting place in St. Malachy’s.
We also extend our sincere thanks to Charles Digney & Sons Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism throughout Seamus’s wake and funeral. To all those who donated money to Marie Curie in lieu of flowers, thank you so much.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Seamus’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 15th February 2026 at 11.30am in St. Malachy’s Church, Carrickcruppen, Camlough.
