Pat’s First Anniversary Mass First will be celebrated on Saturday 28th February at 6pm in the Pastoral Centre Jonesborough.

Acknowledgement from the family of the late John McGinnity - R.I.P.

John’s partner Caroline, children Cait and Peter, grandchildren Ash, Roxy and Jazzy, sisters Anne and Rosemary and the wider family circle would like to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.

Thank you to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent Mass cards and expressed their condolences to us.

We wish to express our heartfelt thanks to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust who brought John home, they looked after every detail and took all the stress away from the family at such a difficult time, we are deeply grateful.

Thank you to Fr Naughton for celebrating the Requiem Mass and to Brenna Byrne for the beautiful music at the mass.

Our sincere gratitude to McGennity Funeral Directors who carried out the funeral arrangements in such a caring, professional way. We will be eternally thankful for helping and guiding us with such sensitivity throughout the wake and funeral. Thank you to Robbie who provided the food after the funeral and to Killeavy GAC for the use of the hall.

John’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 1st March at 11am in St. Michael’s church, Killean. Refreshments will be served in St Michael’s Social Club, Killean after the Month’s Mind Mass.

Funeral notice for the late Nellie Loughran - R.I.P.

Loughran, Nellie - R.I.P. 43 Ayallogue Road, Killeavy, Newry BT35 8RG. Died peacefully 21st February 2026. Beloved wife of the late James and loving mother of Gerard, Helen, Carmel and Seamus, a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother, predeceased by her brother Sean.

Nellie’s remains will repose at her late residence from 6pm this evening (Saturday 21st February) until removal on Monday morning (23rd February) at 11.30am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St. Joseph’s church, Meigh. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Rose’s remains will repose at her late residence. Respectfully, the house is private tonight please. All are welcome on Saturday and Sunday (21st and 22nd February) between 2pm and 9pm each day. House private on Monday morning please. Removal on Monday (23rd February) at 12 noon, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12.30pm in St. Catherine’s church, Dominic Street, Newry. Wife of the late Joe, loving mother of Margaret, Michael, Paul, Gerard, Edel, Anne and Bernadette, mother-in-law of Cletus, Helen, Michael and Paul and a devoted granny to Niamh, Eoghan, Aisling, Clodagh and Finn.

Teresa’s remains will repose in McGennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Newry BT35 8LZ on Thursday afternoon (19th February) from 3pm until removal at 5.30pm, arriving to St. Patrick’s church, Dromintee at 6pm for overnight repose. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s church, Dromintee at 11am on Friday morning (20th February), followed by burial in the new cemetery.

Acknowledgement and Month’s Mind Notice for the late Mickey (Michael) Brady– R.I.P.

We, the family of the late Mickey Brady, would like to sincerely thank everyone for their support, kind words and condolences following his passing as we will be forever grateful.

We would like to thank the ICU staff in Craigavon Hospital for their care and compassion provided to him.

A special thanks to Newry Sinn Féin for their generous support and help throughout the days following his passing.

Sincere thanks to Fr. Tremer and the Dominican Clergy for celebrating the heartfelt funeral Mass. Thanks also to Ellen Maguire for the beautiful singing and Kevy Canavan for the music.

Acknowledgement from the family of the late Mary Byrne - R.I.P.

We, Mary’s family, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement.

Thank you to all who called to the house, our dear friends who helped out during the wake, brought food, attended the wake and funeral and expressed their condolences at this very difficult time.

We wish to thank the Trust Carers and the district nursing team. We are forever grateful to the Acute Care Team for the exemplary care they gave to Mary. Thank you to Richard and Anne Marie from Meigh Pharmacy for their kindness.

A special thank you to Fr Naughton for the beautiful Requiem Mass and to Ellen Maguire and Kevy Canavan for the lovely music at the mass.
