Month’s Mind Acknowledgement
QUINN - Stephen
We, the family of Stephen Quinn, would like to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all who have sympathised with us on the recent loss of Stephen.
We cherish each and every one of you who took the time to attend the wake and funeral, and we are deeply grateful to those who travelled from near and far. Thank you for the Mass cards, messages, calls, sympathy cards and for donations made to Evora Hospice — all were so appreciated.
Special thanks to Father Charlie Byrne and Canon Francis Brown for their guidance, care and support. Their home and hospital visits brought such light and comfort during the darkest of days, and we are especially grateful for the personalised and meaningful Funeral Mass celebrating Stephen’s life.
We also wish to thank Peter McGinn and Sons Funeral Directors, particularly Colm and his team, for their professionalism, compassion and personal touches — especially for getting Stephen home in the snow and for going above and beyond throughout.
A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Craigavon Area Hospital who worked tirelessly in their efforts to save our Stephen — your dedicated work will always be heroic in our eyes. We also thank the district nurses, Drs Wade & Toner, Rathfriland Health Centre and Hilltown Pharmacy for their care and support.
Our genuine thanks to our wider family, close friends, neighbours, work colleagues, Shannon & Ryan’s teachers and all who have helped in any way. The support and help was overwhelming and we could not have gotten through this without the hard work & caring - from assisting in the home and clearing the lane, to providing food, Raymac and all who helped with lights and traffic control, Avenue Taxis, Lavertys, Fitzpatrick’s Quarry, Una, Gallagher Gardening, Drumgath Ladies Group and Drumgath GAC and many more.
We are deeply grateful to Colleen Walls for her beautiful singing and Eileen Mooney for the beautiful music, as well as the grave team and Inscape Florists.
We also wish to thank Tom McEvoy and the Milestone team for their tremendous work in Rathfriland Parish Centre after the funeral, providing much-needed food, refreshments and warm welcomes.
For this and so many other acts of kindness - Your support has meant more to us than words can express.
It is impossible to thank everyone individually, but please know how grateful we are for the love, support and friendship shown to us during this heartbreaking time. We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Stephen’s Month’s Mind will be celebrated on Sunday 1st February at 10am in St Mary’s Chapel, Rathfriland, Co. Down.
