Even on a winter’s day, UV exposure can be significant. While out in Newcastle over Christmas, the sunshine caught us by surprise and our children asked for their sunglasses, which we had unfortunately forgotten. They borrowed their dad’s so they could still benefit from essential UV protection.

This was a good reminder that protecting children’s eyes from harmful UV rays is just as important in winter as it is in summer. Investing in good-quality sunglasses with full UV protection is essential for young eyes, all year round.
