Day 21 โ Progress Update
We are now entering the final stages of the legal process before we obtain the keys to this amazing 6,000 sq ft unit in Newton Abbot.
We should soon have a clear timeline for opening this new activity hub ๐
What this facility will provide
๐ Evening Adult Mental Health Sessions
This hub will allow us to deliver regular activity sessions in a safe and supportive environment and create a strong pathway to our current community sessions.
We use group activities to break down barriers and increase awareness around mental health, using sports such as golf, climbing, fitness, padel and more.
Our focus is on prevention, and we see huge power in community, connection, and shared experiences through activity. The act of doing create an easy environment to talk and open up.
โฝ๏ธ After-School Clubs
A key part of our preventative approach is using sport and activity to support families and children. This hub will provide a fun, safe space where young people can learn vital life skills through sport.
Children will have access to clubs such as football, golf, climbing and more, encouraging movement, confidence, and improved health and wellbeing.
๐ฅ Daytime Education Support
The facility will provide opportunities for children and young adults who are struggling within the mainstream education system.
We will support learning and life skills through sport and activity, while also helping to create clear pathways into education, training, and employment for those who feel they have lost their way.
๐ Local Community Use
The hub will also offer dedicated open-use hours, allowing the local community to access activity areas such as golf bays, courts, and climbing walls.
We are incredibly excited about what this hub will bring to our local area, not only strengthening our menโs mental health support, but extending our reach to families and the wider community as a whole.
Stay tuned for more!
