This week I have taken the decision to commence my maternity leave early.

There has been an awful lot happening from a personal and private point of view, alongside the physical toll my work takes on my body. Though I really had hoped to at least see October out, I have to listen to my body (and my very concerned partner), and start to wind down a little bit.

I have some clients I need to contact directly and I’ll do that in the coming days, however, The Ascension Room is now closed for business until I return, likely in the new year.

Thank you to my gorgeous clients and supporters. Without you there would be no Ascension Room. I can’t wait to see you all on the other side!

Do I have something special for you! Introducing the Tsuboki Japanese Foot Massage to The Ascension Room. (Think reflexology but supercharged ⚡️)

A gorgeous fifty minute treatment focussing solely on those tired feet to balance our energy, promote relaxation and enhance overall wellbeing by manipulating acupressure points and meridians within the feet.

This amazing treatment has five stages;
💫 Dry massage to warm up the feet & lower legs
💫 Application of deep, revitalising pressure with rollers allowing for full absorption of the oils used later
💫 A thorough foot massage with warm oils to further relax the muscles & skin
💫 Tsubo & meridian work to bring balance, restore our energy and bring wellness
💫 Finishing with the gentle, sequential holding of specific areas on the feet to connect to the five elements & calm the body, called ‘Buddha’s Footprints’.

Best New Business of the Year Regional Winner at the UK Hair Awards 😭😭

All the stress, the wondering if I made the right choice, the highs and the lows. Recognition means so much.

And it wouldn’t be possible without my fantastic clients! And it would be criminal if Clique Salon s Cheryl didn’t get a shout out, because without her support, ferocity and desire to build an amazing space, I’m not sure where my little pipe dream would be!

🩵 Maternity Leave Incoming…🩵

Time is marching on and as many of you already know, I am expecting baby number 3 in November. So with that, I have pencilled in some dates that, in an ideal world, I’ll be finishing and returning.

My plan has always been to work as long as possible, so if all goes well I’ll be working until Friday 14 November and returning in March 2026.

So for my lovely regulars, get your appointments until then booked in now to avoid disappointment. And for anyone considering the likes of Tarot training (six weeks), or workshops, then again, message me to get your dates and we will have you good to go before the end of the year!
