Drop-in health checks coming to you aboard the Living Well Bus
Free health checks and wellbeing advice is just around the corner, as the Living Well Bus comes to St Helens Borough in August and September.

The Living Well Bus service, delivered by Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, operates on a fully drop-in basis and provides health checks and wider wellbeing guidance at the heart of communities.

A range of services are available, including:
โ€ข Blood pressure checks
โ€ข Pulse checks
โ€ข Cholesterol checks
โ€ข Blood glucose checks
โ€ข BMI checks
โ€ข Direct referrals to talking therapies
The Living Well Bus also provides routine immunisations, including MMR โ€“ a highly effective and safe vaccine administered in two doses which is crucial for preventing highly contagious and deadly diseases like measles, for which cases are on the rise across the region.

Councillor Andy Bowden, St Helens Borough Councilโ€™s Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care & Health, said:
"We're pleased to welcome the Living Well Bus back to St Helens Borough, giving residents free and easy access to a range of health and wellbeing services and checks that could improve their health and quality of life. These are small things like blood pressure and cholesterol checks โ€“ to routine immunisations like MMR that could make a significant and positive difference to your health.

โ€œItโ€™s especially important to make sure you're up to date with your MMR vaccination, as it protects you and those around you from serious diseases. So please come along โ€“ don't miss this easy opportunity to look after yourself, and your family's health."

The Living Well Bus will be in St Helens Borough on the dates listed below from 10:30am-4:00pm:
โ€ข Wednesday 6 August - Queens Park Health & Fitness, Boundary Road

Devastating news.

No child in 2025 should die from measles, an entirely preventable infectious disease.

Just a few miles away, in Liverpool, where this tragedy occurred, MMR vaccine take up rates are only 73%.

*** There has been one confirmed case of Measles TODAY in St Helens ***

Please know that the vaccines offer superb protection and there is NO link between MMR and autism, despite what certain medical charlatans peddle.

If you are concerned, please drop us a message via our website or arrange an appointment with one of our nurses.
