What an honour to have attended today's Advancing Healthcare Awards ceremony in Cardiff! We didn't win our nominated category of Excellence in Rehabilitation for our Health and Arts project Express Yourself!, but we are so proud to have reached the last 3, with over 100 nominations across the awards. Congratulations to all winners and nominees, what an inspirational afternoon!

Ceinwen Douglas, Senior Specialist SLT has been presenting at the Rural Health Conference this week showcasing the Express Yourself! project. This project provided dance and drama workshops to adults with communication difficulties secondary to a neurological condition. The theme of the conference is Innovation and Improvement and we're proud to have been invited to speak at this important event.

Try singing face-to-face with your child. Little ones learn so much from your facial expressions! As you sing, they may watch your mouth move, which will help them learn how to make the sounds they need to build their first words.
