Earlier today some of the guys from our men's group took part in a guided tour around the Ulster Folk Museum, Cultra learning more about the history of life and culture Northern Ireland.

Thanks to our guide Geraldine who shared about the history of the museum, the buildings and life for the people. ⏳🏚️🪶🤯

And of course to the girls working in the cafe for the delicious tea/coffee and scones!☕🫖🍰😍

The history was great — but the scones made it unforgettable 😂👌

Christmas dinner last night brought the Shankill and Larne men's group together.

A great night of craic and connection amongst the men with plenty of delicious food eaten! 🎄🍽️

Not much else to say but Merry Christmas to all the guys who attended last night and we'll see you all again in the New Year for more of the same 😊

Last night the men's group did a workshop on coping with Christmas 🎄🎁🎅

We recognise Christmas is a time of connection and being together and for some people this can be a difficult period.

The discussions last night amongst the men were honest, vulnerable and real and the group were able to help provide some support and connection to each other.

No photos of the men who attended to keep their stories private so instead enjoy this message Santa had for the guys who each were given their own plan to fill in and use this Christmas.

Winter soups last night for the men's group 🍲

The guys enjoyed a red lentil and veg soup, a leek, carrot and barley soup and a chunky vegetable soup.

After enjoying these the guys got recipe cards and fresh ingredients to get hands on making these soups at home. 👐

This was a follow-up to previous sessions with the guys in how to use a slow cooker and with the weather due to get colder as we approach winter we wanted to have 3x hearty warming soups to keep us all warm 😊

Last night the men's group did some festive pumpkin carving 🎃🎃

Great craic and banter throughout and our winner was the first photo below of a very talented man who did both a tree and a face!

The runners up and the carving are also shown showing men coming together and connecting 😊

Last night the Shankill mens group paid a visit to Larne to see how the group was getting on, enjoy some pizza and have some craic with a quiz night.

Well the Larne group may have won the trophy last night both groups won a night of craic and connection!

'til next time - the Shankill group will be studying encyclopedias each week to get a win 😂

Both men's group meet weekly with a group in Shankill and a group in Larne every Thursday evening 7-9pm and welcome new members. But seriously any men who know things join the Shankill group and help us redeem ourselves 😂💪

Great walk up Divis today with the group and the weather even stayed dry for us until we got to the car par

The rain didn't dampen our spirits at the men's group last night 🌧️🌧️

We managed to do a barbecue between rain showers and as always had great craic together.

Last night the men's group took a guided walk with Nev round some of Shankills murals hearing more about history and events in the local area.

Really engaging, informative and we all came away having learned something new!

The group meets every Thursday at 7pm in New Life City Centre and welcome any man aged 18+ who wants to join us 😊
