Eating With A Screen?

Here’s what really happens:

• Reduced satiety signalling
Distracted eating (e.g. screens) blunts awareness of internal hunger and fullness cues. Studies show this leads to weaker satiety responses and higher calorie intake during and after the meal.

• Impaired memory of the meal
When attention is diverted, the brain forms a poorer memory of what and how much was eaten. Poor meal memory is linked with increased snacking later, because the brain doesn’t fully “count” the meal as complete.

• Faster eating rate = delayed fullness
Screen use increases eating speed. Satiety hormones (like CCK and GLP-1) take ~15–20 minutes to register fullness. Eating faster means you can overshoot calorie needs before fullness kicks in.

• Bottom line:
Distraction doesn’t just change how you eat — it changes how much your brain thinks you’ve eaten.

Almost 11 stone later, having become a certified nutritionist and qualified sports massage therapist, Revive is a platform based not only in evidence focused nutritional advice, but, it is a platform driven by hands on experience of what works and what doesn't work for; fat loss, muscle and fuelling performance.
