Today we said farewell to Eamonn as he begins an exciting new chapter—retirement!

Having been with SR Fire and Security for over 5 years, Eamonn has played a key role in shaping the business into what it is today. His dedication and support have made a lasting impact on the company’s growth.

The SR Fire & Security team were back on site at the Kilcooley Women’s Centre’s new premises on Main Street, Bangor, delivering a full CCTV installation as part of the ongoing redevelopment of The Old Market House.

Works included the cabling, containment and installation of dome cameras across all key external access points, including the front entrances, staff entrance and side gate. The system has been carefully designed to provide effective coverage of the building’s perimeter, supporting both site security and the safety of staff, visitors and the wider community.

It’s fantastic to continue supporting the Kilcooley Women’s Centre as they bring new life to The Old Market House, a landmark building in Bangor with a rich history dating back to the 18th century.

This is a project that combines heritage restoration with modern community use, and we’re proud to play a part in supporting its next chapter.

The SR Fire & Security team were back on site with Boojum in February, completing an intruder alarm upgrade to ensure the system continues to meet current operational and security requirements.

Upgrades like this are an important part of maintaining effective protection, particularly in busy retail and hospitality environments where layouts, usage and risk can change over time.

This project was delivered in collaboration with G.S. Stothers Smoke Ventilation Specialists, allowing us to continue supporting clients through a joined-up approach to building safety and security.

We regularly support both new installations and upgrades across multi-site businesses, helping to ensure systems remain fit for purpose long after initial installation.

Retail fit-outs often run to tight timelines, with multiple contractors working together to ensure a new space is ready for opening day.

Alongside the design, shopfitting and electrical work, there’s also an important layer of safety and security systems that must be installed, tested and commissioned before the doors open.

We recently supported the opening of the new Rituals boutique at Wilton Shopping Centre in Cork, delivering the fire and security systems alongside Temple Electrical as part of the wider project team. We were recently back in Cork supporting the opening of the new Rituals Cosmetics boutique at Wilton Shopping Centre, delivering the installation and commissioning of their fire alarm systems, access control and CCTV.

Retail projects like this require careful coordination to ensure all life safety and security systems are fully operational ahead of store opening, while working closely alongside the wider project team.

It was a pleasure to collaborate with Temple Electrical on this installation, ensuring everything was completed smoothly and on schedule for the store’s official opening on 4th March.

The new Rituals store brings the brand’s distinctive retail concept to Cork, offering customers a space designed to encourage moments of mindfulness and wellbeing through their range of bath, body and home products.

Mater Dei Church is currently undergoing a significant renovation, with works due for completion in March 2026. The project includes a reconfigured entrance with a beautiful mosaic window, a new heating system with Solar panels, a glass confessional, and a carefully reconstructed sanctuary - all designed to enhance the space for the parish community for years to come.

SR Fire & Security has been pleased to play a part in this important project, delivering:

We’re pleased to be continuing our work with the The Clover Group, supporting their latest project at the historic Washington House building in Belfast.

Our team recently completed the installation of an intruder alarm system, designed to provide secure protection across key access points and internal areas of the building. The works included the installation of an Enforcer system with multiple detection points, remote keypad access, and integration with the existing fire alarm system to support a coordinated approach to site safety.

It’s always a privilege to work within buildings that have such strong heritage and character, and we’re excited to play a small part in the next chapter for this important city-centre property.
