Calling all 13-15 year olds!
We're launching Surf Life Saving GB's Graduate Lifeguard Programme!
(Okay we understand that most 13-15 year olds aren't on facebook these days, so please pass this on). Register your interest via 🔗 in comments

The Graduate Lifeguard Programme is a 3 year programme for 13 – 15 year olds, teaching and embedding not only lifeguard skills and techniques but important skills and attitudes that support future opportunities both in education and employment.

We've opened an "interest list" so that we can work out the logistics of the sessions.
Initially places on the programme will be limited to 12 due to volunteer numbers.
Places will be randomly assigned. If there are more than 12 interested, a wait list will then be created.

Can't wait to get into the sea with those who have booked, with thanks to The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland for making it possible!

OUR NEXT FREE SEA DIPPING COURSE IS STARTING 13th SEPTEMBER 2025 AT WEST BAY, NORTH BERWICK!

Our fourth and final course for 2025 is open for registration thanks to funding from The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland! This course will run every Saturday morning at 8.30am and 9.30am for 8 weeks from the 13th of September.

Why sign up for a Chill East Lothian course?
• It’s the perfect chance to try sea dipping if you have never tried it before or you are feeling anxious about it.
• Everyone starts at the same time so no need to worry about joining a well-established group of confident swimmers.
• We have a lifeguard at every session to make sure you stay safe.
• We will teach you tips so that you can learn how to keep yourself safe in the sea after the course.
• You will have a group of people to continue swimming with after the course has finished.
• It’s completely free!
• All you need is a swimming costume and some warm clothes to put on afterwards. We have changing robes, gloves, boots and swimming hats that you can borrow for free if you don’t have your own.
