The format is always the same but each class is very different as the elements change.
It feels like having an insurance policy - regularly boosting different parts of our body, brain and energy systems to support our wellness in many levels.
Kundalini yoga is known as the yoga of awareness and is designed to nurture householders (those of us living normal lives) into a deep yogic experience.
Class format:
*Tune In
*Breath work (many powerful options)
*Warm up (the spine - I tend to keep this part the same so you can see progress in the body and relax into the familiarity of it)
*Kriya (physical set to achieve something - changes to support: the time/season/weather/astrology/my intuition download)
*Relaxation (deep, gorgeous gong experience)
*Meditation (many powerful options often with mantra)
*Tune Out
The whole set is led by sound at most points - movement supported by beautiful mantra sets, gongs coming in to take you deeper sometimes and always for relaxation.

Meditations often from new ones created by Satyavrati that I do most mornings - they are powerful and designed to support the exact time we are living in - help support our elevation, connection, happiness and coming out of our head and being led from intuition and the heart.
These meditations have made huge shifts in my life and love to share them.
I’ve been teaching kundalini yoga and giving gong baths consistently since 2017 and am a KRI Level 2 teacher (over 500hrs+).

I’m a bit overwhelmed reflecting on this first weekend training in Sat Nam Rasayan Healing modality by the wonderful, serene Margaret Comerford (Har Kirat).
I had decided some years ago to get trained in Sat Nam Rasayan at some point and at the Scottish Kundalini Yoga Festival Har Kirat introduced many of us to this wonderful modality as a first experience and it was for many a highlight of the 2025 festival.
I have always been inspired by the presence of those that practice this modality - an obvious deep serene peace that they hold and gently express.
So I duly booked on but didn’t give it more thought till I got there.
Having a strong meditation practice I have been stunned this weekend how deep this can go and how powerful it is - very excited about what is to come and the creative ways it can be used for healing across life.

🌝This morning’s full moon at 4.30am before meditation was stunning and it supported such a beautiful meditation set by Satyavrati from that we were sharing in the Kundalini Lotus Community (free community daily meditation and yoga).
Feeling into what to release, let go of, shift around to make more space today.
Personally choosing to step into more simplicity, ease and grace by trusting my intuition more and being more in presence rather than preparation and logic. Letting the magic unfold naturally!
Tomorrow we are still close enough to be in the energy of today’s powerful full moon to get some enhanced gong release.
Fletcher’s Cottage Spa is THE best place on a cold, dark autumn evening. Nourishing spa heat, oils, cacao and sensory sound to take you away.
One of my yogis recently described the Fletcher’s evenings as ‘one of her favourite things to do’ and I have to say it’s one of mine too.

Kundalini yoga has profoundly impacted my life and having practiced yoga for my whole adult life, I feel it is the most effective form, enhancing life on all levels! I am a Level 1 qualified KRI (Kundalini Research Institute) Kundalini Yoga Instructor, trained through Sahej Academy, keeping true to Yogi Bahjan’s teachings. I am a member of the Kundalini Yoga Teachers Association (KYTA).
I have been taught by Methab Benton to play the gong to enhance the effectiveness of Kundalini Yoga, ‘to take you further’ and also in its use as a deep relaxation tool and undertaken further training in deepening my experience of working with the gong. I host regular gong relaxation sessions, known as ‘gong baths’ both as regular public sessions and privately. These create a space for very deep relaxation, healing (emotional and physical) and letting go of what doesn’t serve you. I often combine the gong relaxations with Yoga Nidra. Giving yourself this treat is self nurturing of a deep kind. Seeing people who care about each other in a lovely space together after the gong is really heartening as it promotes deep communication.
I live with my family in North Berwick and enjoy teaching yoga and working with the gong as well as giving one-to-one EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) therapy which continually surprises me in how effective it is in removing/shifting fears, phobias and pain. It is particularly amazing for blasting through blocks (often showing up in life as repetitively difficult patterns).
