From September, NHS plans to start sending results from the Cervical Screening Programme, utilising the NHS App

In September, those who have a negative test result will be notified of this by an NHS app message. It will also appear as an NHS App notification. If the NHS App message isn't read within 72 hours, a letter will be send as a fail safe

Abnormal result letters will continue for the time being to be delivered by post.

Due to staff training priory medical group North Shields branch will be closed from 1pm and our Hadrian park and Tynemouth surgery will be closed from 12:30pm on Thursday 4th September. We reopen Friday 5th September at 8:30am. For non urgent medical advice please visit NHS 111 online or call 111. In any medical emergency please call 999
