A Blessing for the New Year
As the new year approaches,
may we find time to pause,
not to rush ahead,
but to arrive fully
where we already are.
May we remember what this past year has given us:
the joys that surprised us,
the sorrows that shaped us,
the lessons that asked for patience,
the unexpected moments of grace.
May we honor all of it without judgment,
trusting that none of it was wasted.
May the year ahead meet us gently.
May it teach us when to step forward
and when to rest.
May we find the courage
to release what no longer serves us,
and the strength
to carry what still needs our care and attention.
Bless this coming year
with clarity when the path feels uncertain,
with steadiness when the ground shifts.
May we be guided by wisdom rather than fear,
by compassion rather than haste.
May our hearts remain open,
open to love in its many forms,
open to connection,
open even to vulnerability,
knowing it is the doorway
to a deeper and more meaningful way of living.
May we speak more honestly,
listen more fully,
and choose kindness,
every single time.
As we step into this new year,
may we do so with a renewed sense of hope and a deep gratitude
for the quiet miracle
of simply being here,
right here and now,
in this very moment.
