Music and movement influence the mind as well as the body.... sometimes slow and reflective, sometimes energising and uplifting. Whatever your mood, every day should have a soundtrack... today mine was 1999 by Prince
There's a temporary change to the timetable - Classes are on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays until the New Year 🙂

If you haven’t tried resonance frequency breathing I really recommend you give it a go.
There have been hundreds of scientific studies on resonant breathing which show its many benefits, including:
Lowers blood pressure
Increased ability to handle stress
Helps towards emotional balance
Clinical improvements in asthma
Resonant breathing can be done in just 3 minutes a day and to make it easy to get started Eddie Stern, the world renowned yoga teacher, has launched a new version of The Breathing App which is FREE and available in iOS and Android.
It’s been said a million times already but ‘this has been a challenging week’ and I know it’s just the start of a longish road before we go back to something like the life we have been used to.
Maybe life will change into something we can’t imagine right now, and maybe that life will be even better than the one we have now?
It will take time to adjust to the ‘new normal’ so I need to be patient with myself, and maybe learn to be less social media shy??

My aim for everyone to develop the strength, flexibility and confidence needed to be the best version of themselves; and to laugh, learn and leave the session feeling uplifted, balanced and energised.
Classic Mat Pilates
Classic Mat Pilates is designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body.
Keeping to the original exercises taught by the founder Joseph Pilates, each movement has a name and together they are structured to develop a balanced body. The exercises are organised into levels and groups - Introductory, Intermediate and Advanced – which build on each other, making the Classic Mat Pilates method accessible and progressive.
Fitness Pilates
Fitness Pilates increases the pace and intensity of Classic Mat Pilates exercises and introduces resistance equipment such as handweights, mini balls and resistance bands to further develop strength, shape and flexibility.
Relaxation Pilates
A blissful mix of relaxing Pilates movements and yoga positions to stretch the body, increase flexibility and unwind the mind.
The benefits of Classic Mat Pilates include:
Longer, stronger, leaner muscles (less bulk, more freedom of movement)
Increased core strength and stability
Improved posture
Enhanced functional fitness for greater mobility
Improved balance
Greater body awareness
Non-impact exercises, making Pilates easy on the joints
Pilates is also an excellent conditioning method to improve sport and movement performance (running, cycling, dance etc) and can aid weight loss through increased metabolism.
