“If you are attached to this life, you are not a true spiritual practitioner;
If you are attached to saṃsāra, you have no renunciation;
If you are attached to your own self-interest, you have no bodhicitta;
If there is grasping, you do not have the View.”
🌸 In honor of Sachen Kunga Nyingpo (1092–1158), the first of the Five Founding Masters of the Sakya tradition.
🪷 May his wisdom continue to inspire our practice.

Our Story

After almost ten years offering public meditation classes North Devon Sakya Group now meets privately. We follow the Sakya tradition of Tibetan Mahayana Buddhism through study, meditation and Vajrayana pujas. We also meet regularly with our friends Exeter Sakya Buddhist Group for short meditation retreats.
