Working with Delapré Abbey it occurred to us that Santa's little stocking filler with two wheels maybe a bit tricky for its new owner to get to grips with.

*****Access2Bikes Schools Programme******

If your children are lucky enough to be trading up this Christmas with a new bike, please think of us.

We are desperate for 18" and 20" bikes that we can refurbish and get to kids via their school, who nominate the kids based on greatest need.

Your child's Christmas present could be the gift that keeps on giving, if we can get their old one to a child, who otherwise would not own a bike.

We can collect if within a 5 mile radius of the Abbey

*******Christmas Workshop Hours*******

This year we will be closing at 13:00 on Wednesday 24th December and reopening at 10:00 on Friday 2nd January 2026.

As we near the end of this year I'd like to highlight what DDelapré Abbeyand Freeride coaching and ourselves have achieved with recycled bikes and getting kids riding bikes.
Within the grounds of the Abbey over 150 children that could not ride a bike now can through the Learn2Ride scheme, this is an amazing lifeskill that these young people now have. Does this mean that more children were taught to ride a bike than any other venue in the county?
In addition, through our Access2Bikes scheme we have gifted 63 bikes + new helmets to Primary School children. While we are at the schools we also provide a skills coaching session.
We have also continued our work with the Childrens Trust in Northampton delivering 54 bikes to young people coming out of care system and needing transport to volunteering opportunities, job interviews and places of work.
A lot of lives positively impacted at very little cost.
The Access2Bikes scheme is only possible with the the support we have received particularly from Cummins Europe in Daventry and Cushing at WWest Northamptonshire Counciland anyone that donates a bike, for which we, and the kids are most grateful

****20" Bike Appeal for Access2Bikes schools Programme****
Now that the new school year has started so has our schools programme - getting bikes to kids who otherwise would not get the opportunity to have one.

We have a real shortage of 20" bikes or BMX style bikes that we could size down.

Please check your shed or garage, you may just make a young persons day!

Sunday/Monday – closed
Tuesday 10:00 – 16:00
Wednesday 10:00 – 17:30
Thursday 10:00 – 16:00
Friday 10:00 – 17:30
Saturday 10:00 – 15:00

The schools are back and so is our Access2Bikes programme.

We are short of a few 20" Bike and would be very grateful to anyone with a bike of that size that they are happy to donate to this worthy cause.
