When stress doesn’t look like stress…
When our Co-Founder, Dr Nicholas Peat, was in his late teens, he thought he could “handle stress” by being mentally strong, resilient, capable, and nothing would shake him.
What he didn’t realise at the time was that stress doesn’t always announce itself — it can build quietly, affecting your body long before your mind realises.
Over time, stress can affect sleep, energy, digestion, skin, and blood pressure, often without any obvious warning signs.
And the ways we cope? Some of us may introduce high-intensity workouts, or sugary snacks and caffeine for quick fixes, that at the time might feel helpful — but they can actually make stress worse.
