A few places left on the Mindfulness course. Please get in touch! It is now possible and has been for some time to see proof positive of the long term benefits of Mindfulness in the brain using some of the world's most advanced brain- imaging technology. Research undertaken by Dr Sarah Lazar a neuroscientist and researching at university hospital Massachusetts found that the amount of grey matter in the insula increased dramatically in those who practised Mindfulness meditation. In addition a part of the brain called the amygdala which is associated with reactive emotion and fear had decreased grey matter showing that the control groups responded differently to life's stresses and strains. Relapses in depression were also significantly reduced. Something to think about in this day and age. All participants will receive a certificate for course completion, this will enable those to advance further if they wish although the course will cover all aspects. Possible good outcomes with chronic illness and pain have also been associated with these courses.
Looking forward to meeting you
Thank you
Mary
