Did you know you can visit the Pharmacy for all of these medical concerns below? They can recommend products and medicines that can help ease symptoms and discomfort.

If you haven't already seen the pharmacist for any of these medical issues, you will be signposted to the pharmacy initially as these all are categorised as self care.

If you don't pay for your prescriptions, you may be able to use the NHS Minor Ailment Scheme to get advice and, when appropriate, free treatment for certain common illnesses without seeing a GP at your local pharmacy.

Please remember if you no longer require your appointment you can cancel through the online portal through our website or by calling the surgery. We could have offered an extra 232 appointments to patients that needed an appointment, had the above patients cancelled their appointments.

Yesterday afternoon we trialled a Call back option on the telephone lines. I am happy to report this will be in place going forward.

When you do not have time to wait on hold you can press for a call back and the surgery will automatically phone you when the receptionist is available.

We hope you find this useful whilst we still continue to improve our access to patients.

We now have Makaton Cards available at Reception for those require them, please ask a Receptionist who will provide these for you. We hope you find this useful and easier to access our service.

What is Makaton?
Makaton is a unique language programme that uses symbols, signs and speech to enable people to communicate. It supports the development of essential communication skills such as attention and listening, comprehension, memory, recall and organisation of language and expression. Makaton is used for teaching communication, language and literacy skills with children and adults who are at an early stage of communication and language development.

• Cleft lip and Palate
• Developmental Language Disorders
• Down’s Syndrome
• Global Developmental Delay
• Verbal Dyspraxia
