Often, clients arrive once the injury has already taken over.

But the real change happens when you spot the warning signs early - the tightness, the niggles, the slight pain you try to ignore.

Maintenance matters. Self-care is important, especially after you've recovered from an injury for injury prevention 🤍

✋🏻Slow Mo Massage Gun ✋🏻

Our massage gun works the muscle 2000-2500 times per minute! Due to the speed it overrides the pain signals to the brain. 🧠

Each burst delivers a short, high-velocity impact that stretches and compresses the skin, muscle and fascia underneath.

We use the massage gun as part of our technology treatments and our sports massage sessions.

💥 Ever tried muscle scraping? 💥

Here’s why we use muscle scraping in our treatments:

1. Breaks up adhesions: Over time, muscles and fascia can develop small knots or scar tissue from overuse or injury. Scraping helps break these down to restore smooth movement.

2. Boosts blood flow: The pressure increases local circulation, bringing oxygen and nutrients to the area — which supports healing.

3. Stimulates the nervous system: The scraping motion activates sensory nerves, helping reduce muscle tightness and pain.

4. Improves mobility: By releasing restrictions in the soft tissue, your joints and muscles can move more freely.

Are you ready to try muscle scraping?

⚠️ Tight Hamstrings? Here’s How They Affect Your Body ⚠️

Your hamstrings are very important and they do a lot of work — and when they’re tight, it can affect more than just your legs:

🚶 Restricted Movement – Makes bending, walking, and running harder.

🪑 Posture Problems – Can tilt your pelvis and put pressure on your lower back.

⚡ Back Pain – Tight hamstrings often contribute to stiffness or pain in the spine.

🏃 Reduced Performance – Limits stride length, power, and flexibility in sport.

🩺 Higher Risk of Injury – Muscles under tension are more likely to strain.

💡 The good news? With the right stretching, strengthening, and treatment, you can ease that tension and move freely again.

📍 Book an appointment at St Giles Physiotherapy and let’s get your hamstrings (and the rest of you) feeling better!

🎥 Patella Tendon Reconstruction: The Road to Recovery 💪

This video takes you through the incredible journey of recovery after a patella tendon reconstruction - from the early stages of healing to regaining full strength and mobility.

🔹 Early Stage:
Recovery begins with no weight bearing and gentle bed or mat-based exercises to maintain circulation and activate the muscles safely.

🔹 Progression:
As healing continues, the focus shifts to gradual weight bearing and controlled movement - taking those first steps with crutches and rebuilding confidence in the knee.

🔹 Building Strength:
Over time, exercises become more dynamic and challenging, targeting muscle strength, balance, and stability. The final stages involve walking without crutches and working to restore full function and return to normal activity.

Every phase matters - patience, consistency, and proper guidance are key to a strong comeback. 🦵🔥

This video only shows the rehabilitation part of our journey but no treatment such as laser, electro stimulation etc. that was done in order to reduce swelling, pain and allow us to progress through the stages quicker.
