It’s Thank You Thursday 💛💙
This summer, Dale Holmes went the extra mile for the Hospice by taking on two endurance challenges. In July, Dale and his 15-year-old son Archie walked the 110 miles of Hadrian’s Wall over seven days, carrying heavy rucksacks and camping each night through both heat and rain - raising a fantastic £1,560. 👟
Just weeks later, Dale and colleagues from Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust completed the 10km Wolf Run in Warwickshire, tackling 30 obstacles in memory of a colleague cared for at the Hospice. Together they raised an incredible £870.
Dale has been the driver for these challenges following the sad loss of one of their colleagues who had been cared for at the Hospice. He really wanted to give something back so other families had the same care as their friend had. Thank you so much for everything you did for us Dale, Archie and colleagues – collectively you have raised £2,430 which really will make a massive difference. 💙
We would like to say a massive thank you to Andrew Pocock for recently taking part in the Run Sandringham Half Marathon. Andrew wanted a challenge to complete in memory of his Mum who was cared for at the Hospice. He absolutely smashed his goals, completing the race in 1 hr 49 and raising £1,470. Thank you Andrew, we enjoyed meeting you and your family and hope you continue with the running. 💛
A huge thank you to Mark and the committee who recently organised a Down Under reunion at the Sir Humphrey Cripps Pavillion at the Old Northamptonians. An evening of nostalgia, fun along with remembering those who have been supported by the hospice. An incredible amount of money has been raised as part of the business reunion, a total of £11,233.61. This is the equivalent of more than 22 days’ worth of care for patients within the hospice. A huge thank you to all those involved and a special thank you to Ben and the team at Midshires Electrical and Horts Estate Agents for their generous donations. 💃🏼
