Hi there folks!
Next saturday 21st October is our Tai Chi workshop on the topic of "Sinking the Chi in the mind, the body and the bones".
It's a great process to do in preparation for Autumn and Winter, mirroring the centralisation of energy we see in healthy patterns of behaviour in the dark, cold months. Through this we can accept the now better and shine through to work and play no matter what the season.
Apart from that it is also the sort of practice that leads to the Tai Chi adage that a practitioner's arms become like "steel wrapped in cotton".
Bones become stronger, joints more robust. In the old days they would suggest that the bone marrow was washed. This is a healthy practice to understand, given the core processes bone marrow is involved in (lymphatic and immune system).
Mentally it promotes an "earthy" sensation of feeling safer and more secure. A natural wellbeing.
All are welcome, whether you have done Tai Chi before or not.
Venue: Deeper Being 257 Harlestone road Northampton NN5 6DD
Time: 09:30 - 13:00
Cost: £45
For those who have done the long form, don't forget you are also eligible for the special broadsword weapon and dedicated tai chi martial aspect monthly meetup on friday 20th, 7pm - 9:30pm. Two intensive 1hr 15 min sessions £12 each, £20 for both or £15 for both if you also come to the saturday workshop.
The idea of the friday sessions is the possibility of creating your own intensive few days training. You could for example come to thursday morning, thursday evening, friday evening, saturday morning and then, if invited, the advanced class monday evening. Plus you could also book some private sessions for one or a small group who want to work together.
Look forward to seeing you soon,
