✨️Refitting Hair Extensions✨️

When to have a refit?
This will depend on which method of Hair Extensions you have, generally a refit is around 10 - 12 weeks.

As your natural hair grows, the bonds grow down and away from the scalp, which can cause them to twist, mat, or become visible.

​The refitting process involves removing all extensions and moving them up, this ensures the health of your natural hair and the longevity of the extensions.

​The removal method depends on the specific type of extensions, my client here has individual bonds, with this method a solution is applied to the bonds, then using a specialist hair tool to break the seal, allowing the bond to crumble and slide off without damaging the hair cuticle.
​
​We naturally lose about 50–100 hairs a day. These hairs become trapped in the bonds, when the bonds are removed the natural shedding will be combed out out during the removal process.
​
​Before the bonds are refitted, the old bonds are trimmed off, new bonding freshed applied and fitted to a new section of hair.

​Last of all trim and blend the extensions, so they are seamless.

Sometimes mixing up to as many as five individual shades per bond creating a perfect colour match, tailoring the weight of every individual bond to your natural hair density.

Using a thermal resin which is a gentle bonding agent used for bespoke bonds. It remains flexible, causing zero stress to the natural hair, and is designed for a clean, damage-free removal.

Have you ever felt like crying?

I had a lovely lady contact me she had a haircut she was unhappy with 😥 she came for a consultation and I told her I could transform her haircut, even out the bulky section and fill in her wispy ends.

She came for her appointment, choosing a hair which matched her hair texture perfectly 👌

Still gorgeous after multiple refits ❤️

When my lady arrived for her refit, she said her hair had been amazing, it had survived two holidays, sea, sand, chlorine. She did own up to not following her normal aftercare routine meticulously 🤔 but she was still using her Solo Bonds aftercare products which would have kept her extensions nourished and hydrated 💕

This is her 4th refit and the hair quality is amazing 👏
