Nothing dramatic happened.
No magic moment.

I just stopped quitting on myself.

I stopped negotiating with the excuses.
Stopped restarting every Monday.
Stopped telling myself I’d “be good next week.”

And I started being consistent.

That’s it.

Not perfect.
Just consistent.

Last night I talked about comfort vs self-respect.

So let’s talk about this weekend…

If you had the Valentine’s meal.
If you had dessert.
If you went over calories.

You haven’t failed.

Self-respect isn’t never overindulging.
It’s not spiralling afterwards.

It’s waking up the next day and getting straight back to your habits.

No drama.
No “I’ll start Monday.”
No guilt-fuelled cardio.
No starving yourself to “make up for it.”

Just back to normal.

In 18 Sundays it’s summer.

Imagine how you’ll feel if you stop letting one meal turn into one week.

Comfort says:
“You’ve blown it anyway.”

Self-respect says:
“It was one meal. Move on.”

Three years ago this wasn’t possible.

Not the 5 mile walk.
Not the energy.
Not the version of me who just gets up and goes.

I was 10 stone heavier.
Everything felt harder.

And if I’m honest… I thought I was “treating” myself back then.

Takeaways.
Skipping movement.
“Start Monday.”

But that wasn’t love.

It was comfort.

Real love looked different.

It looked like discipline.
Consistency.
Choosing my health even when I didn’t feel like it.

I stopped treating myself.
I started respecting myself.

And that changed everything.

At 19st 11lb, jeans 👖 and a top 👕 just weren’t an option in my head.
Leggings and a long, baggy top were my safety blanket as I wanted to hide.

Now? I’m slowly becoming braver with my choices. Reaching for clothes I actually like instead of what feels “safe”. Wearing jeans and a top and, actually feeling good in them.

But I won’t pretend it’s effortless.

Even after losing 10 stone and maintaining my 10 stone loss for over a year ,my head still hasn’t fully caught up.

Body confidence isn’t just about weight loss. It’s about mindset. And that takes work too.

You can see so much sadness in my eyes before I lost weight.
I definitely needed a hug, but more than that, I needed the boost that losing the weight would give me!
I hadn’t realized just how much my weight was holding me back.
Now, there’s a whole new twinkle in my eyes, and I’m so proud of how far l’ve come! And here’s to another year of helping my clients do the same 💫

At some point you have to learn how to just eat normally again.

And honestly?
That’s when everything finally clicked for me.
