🌟 Woodview Medical Centre is delighted to share some exciting news for our community! 🌟

We are proud to support the launch of the Community Responders Transport Service, delivered in partnership with NHS Integrated Care Board Northamptonshire — helping frail older adults and those with limited mobility stay independent, connected and supported.

Getting to important appointments or social activities shouldn’t be a barrier — and now, it doesn’t have to be.

The friendly drivers are here to help you travel safely and comfortably, right from your front door.

✔ Chaperone assistance available with pre-booking

🌼 Who can use this service?

This service is ideal for:

• Individuals with frailty or mobility challenges
• Anyone who doesn’t meet criteria for NHS Patient Transport
• People needing transport for wellbeing or social support activities
• Those requiring same-day travel for local diagnostic tests
• Support with deploying larger equipment (subject to item availability)

We’re really pleased to share how we’ve been performing for you, our patients - and we hope you’ll be just as encouraged by this as we are.

Here are some of our key highlights from November 2025:

💚 93.6% of patients rated our service positively, placing us well above the national NHS GP average. Thank you for your trust and kindness - it truly means everything to us.

⭐ Google rating: 4.6/5 - an amazing achievement! This is a reflection of the compassion, effort and teamwork shown by every single member of staff, every single day. Your feedback inspires us to keep raising the bar.

💬 2,647 Accurx requests received - that’s more than 120 patient requests every day! We’re continuing to respond quickly, thoughtfully, and with care.

📅 Mondays remain our busiest day with around 183 requests, while Fridays average 119.

📨 7,350 Accurx messages sent out - that’s roughly 334 messages a day, covering appointment bookings, advice, results, follow-ups, and general patient support.

📞 4,742 phone calls answered - because we know digital doesn’t work for everyone, and a voice on the other end can make all the difference.

⏱️ 88% answered within 3 minutes - a 1% improvement on already very good figures! We’re working incredibly hard to speak to you as quickly as possible, even as demand continues to rise.

📆 5,524 appointments booked across GPs, clinicians, nurses and wider healthcare teams, all working together to support your wellbeing.

🚫 323 missed appointments - fewer than last month, and we’re moving in a positive direction.

We completely understand that things crop up and that most patients do let us know in advance when they can’t attend.

If you’re unable to make it, just give us a quick call or cancel on your app - we’re always happy to rebook you, and freeing that appointment helps someone else get the care they need too.

We are genuinely proud of these results and the care we provide — and we hope you’re proud of them too.

And we’re not stopping here! We’re committed to improving, adapting, and continuing to deliver the best care we can.

Our Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated and will be in place until at least 9am tomorrow (Thurs 20 November) in response to the Met Office's forecast of low overnight temperatures.

This means rough sleepers in West Northants will be provided with somewhere warm and dry to stay overnight.

All known rough sleepers are being made aware, but if you know someone sleeping rough who needs access to accommodation, please ask them to phone 0300 126 7000.

This means that the GPs at this practice are trained to listen without judgement and can provide you with support and details on how to access treatment🤝

⭐️Patient Feedback⭐️

We don't shy away from negative feedback; we use this to help shape and improve the service that we're providing to our patients, which includes those long-serving patients who are elderly too!🙏

We would like to assure all patients that we are still here for you, just as we always have been!☎️

The comment above understandably remains a concern for elderly patients across the country as surgeries introduce and improve upon our digital services📱

We understand that these changes may seem daunting for elderly patients as many are unable or not confident in using our digital services🫤

If this is the case then we will complete the form for you over the phone, and get your issue dealt with as appropriate!👨‍⚕️

We believe that the digital services now in place not only make the lives of our 5200+ patients who use them easier, but also the lives of those who are unable to too🙌

The changes have led to a huge reduction in telephone demand, which means that we are able to answer calls much quicker so that you can speak to us when you need to🏎

Yesterday morning, for example, 93% of calls were answered within 2 minutes, and 100% were answered within 5 minutes😁

On the same day last year only 51% of calls were answered within 2 minutes🤒

If you have any family members who are concerned about the digitisation of GP services, please assure them that we are still here for them and that they are welcome call us so we can help ease their concerns🙌
