We know life can get busy – that’s why we offer Enhanced Access, by General Practice
Alliance! It’s an extension of our GP practice, giving you more ways to see a clinician
when it suits you and your lifestyle.
You can book appointments for the following dates and times:
• Evenings (Monday – Friday, 18:30–21:30)
• Weekends (Saturday – Sunday, 09:00–17:00)
Location: Highfield Clinical Care Centre (Entrance B), Cliftonville Road,
Northampton, NN1 5BD

Need a blood test? You can also book weekend appointments with our phlebotomist.

- residents in a care home for older adults
- all adults aged 75 years and over
- persons aged 18 years and over who are immunosuppressed

Eligible patients are being invited by text message.

✅ You may be eligible if you are:

🔹Aged 65 or over

🔹Pregnant

🔹Aged 18–64 with certain health conditions (e.g. asthma, diabetes, heart disease, weakened immune system)

🔹Aged 2-17 (nasal spray for children)

🔹A carer or living with someone who is immunocompromised

🔹A frontline health or social care worker

📱 If your result is normal, you’ll receive it securely in the app.

📩 You’ll still get a letter in the post if you don’t have the app, or if more tests are needed.

Today is International Youth Day which focuses on the difficulties that some young people are experiencing throughout the world.

Half the children between the age of 6 and 13 lack basic reading and math skills and childhood poverty is still a prevalent problem globally. International Youth Day was created by the UN to help draw awareness to these issues as we strive to find solutions. It’s a day for reflection but also a day for taking action so get involved.

Home Start - Dad Matters in West Northamptonshire

Home-Start is a UK-based charity that provides support to families with young children who are facing challenging times. Trained volunteers and experts offer practical help, friendship, and emotional support to parents, helping them build confidence and strengthen their relationships with their children.
Founded in 1973 by Margaret Harrison in Leicester there are around 180 local, independent Home-Starts operating in 71% of local authority areas across the UK.

Since 2017 Dad Matters is a Home Start support service dedicated to helping new and expectant fathers build strong relationships with their families. They focus on attachment and bonding, mental health, and guiding dads to access services that support them deal with the life changing events that come with parenthood.
In West Northamptonshire Dad Matters offer dads to be and dads with children to age 5 one-on-one support, dad and child play and support groups, and dad outreach programs.
