Today one potential client asked me what type of the massage I do. I mentioned Swedish and his reply was rather strange: “Ooo Swedish...sounds good.” I realised that many people probably have no clue what “Swedish massage” is. However, this is a foundation massage taught in the majority of schools for massage therapists. If you add more pressure it will be called a “Deep tissue massage”. If you target injuries and add soft tissue manipulation techniques, it will be called a “Sport massage”. Therefore, a Swedish massage is a classical massage known and taught all over the world and it doesn't have any obscure sexual references.
