Good morning everyone!

We’ve got another busy day in the SimplyDiag.net community hub 👌

We’ve been working on this Renault Clio with one of the front daytime running lamps not working 🤔………..

Also we’re working on a Kia Sportage with a faulty rear parking sensor…….

Last week you’ll remember we had a Vauxhall Insignia in the workshop with a front camera fault, here’s the first of 2 videos showing the test drive needed to recalibrate the vehicle 👇

Did you realise the level of technology used on modern vehicles? Even fitting a new small part requires additional work to ensure everything is working correctly and calibrated properly 🤔

On our drive we even saw a rare lesser spotted cyclist who didn’t appear to think the red traffic lights applied to him 🙄

We had another special delivery last week - no it’s not coffee biscuits or bacon (unfortunately hint hint 😆) although I’m on a health kick to lose weight for the parachute jump for Ben - Support for Life 🪂

No the parcel contained a part for the Honda Civic with the airbag fault from last week 👌

My heart sank when we had to take the wheel off on this Ford Transit Connect to reach the NOX sensor, take a look at the final video on this vehicle 👇

We used the OEM information from our awesome community partner ALLDATA Europe GmbH to figure out where we needed to access then we used the Topdon UK battery support and Picoscope from Pico Technology (Automotive Diagnostics) to get to the bottom of this diagnosis 🤔

In the first of 2 videos we look at this Ford Transit Connect (white with 4 wheels 😆) and start to build the corners and edges of the jigsaw…………..

With multiple warning lights on the dash, indicators of very frequent DPF regeneration and oil quality warnings we start by using the Forscan - this pulled out various fault codes including NOC sensors, NOX sensors & DPF regeneration frequency………..

Yesterday we had a Vauxhall Insignia in the workshop which needed a front assistance camera reprogramming.

Using the remote services from our awesome SimplyDiag.net community partner OSCA

We logged in at 10.26 and our issue was solved by 10.41 👌

We wouldn’t be able to log on and use a dealer tool, buy a token and complete the job in that time so thanks to Dan and Team Osca - you’re awesome 🤩

In the workshop this week we had this 2021 Vauxhall Vivaro C (gun metal grey with 4 wheels) with a dashboard lit up like Blackpool seafront - plus it’s an intermittent fault 😬

We explain our process starting with a global scan using the Bosch KTS 590 to see what’s going on……..

Using the big TV to display the results and act as a whiteboard initial indications are it might be something to do with the steering angle sensor 🤔

Building up the picture of what’s happening we start with the corners and edges of the jigsaw……
