Many people with ADHD, say:

"I care deeply about my relationships… but arguments seem to escalate faster than I expect."

This is often linked to emotional regulation and rejection sensitivity.

In this week’s video we explain why this happens.

Arguments happen in every relationship.
But when ADHD is involved, emotions can feel bigger and misunderstandings can happen quickly.

What matters most is how we repair afterwards.

In today’s ADHD series video we explore why repair matters and how couples can reconnect after conflict.

Spring energy isn't always calm energy

- Lighter mornings.
- More emails.
- More expectations.
- More noise.

For some people, spring increases anxiety — not calm.

When your nervous system has been in winter mode, sudden stimulation can feel overwhelming.

You might notice:
• Racing thoughts
• Tension in your body
• Restless sleep
• Irritability

Your nervous system needs time to adjust to the transition between winter and spring.

Will you take it easy on yourself?

You’re not behind.

If things are taking more effort lately — if you're struggling to focus or small tasks feel too much — it doesn’t automatically mean something’s gone wrong.

Sometimes your brain is just tired.

For many people (especially those managing ADHD or ongoing pressure), everyday life uses more mental energy than it looks like from the outside.

When energy drops, it’s easy to be hard on yourself.

But tired isn’t the same as incapable.

What would feel lighter if you gave yourself just a little more understanding this week?

ADHD burnout isn’t the same as being “just tired”.
It often shows up as emotional exhaustion, thought overload, and a sense of shutdown — even after rest.

For many people with ADHD, burnout builds gradually.

Constant effort, masking, and managing daily demands can drain mental energy far faster than it does for others.

This isn’t laziness or a lack of resilience.
It’s overload — and it deserves understanding, not pressure.

Gentle, ADHD-informed support can make a real difference when burnout is part of the picture.

Have you ever realised you were burnt out only after you’d pushed past your limit?

Sometimes when people say,

“I don’t know what’s wrong with me…”

The truth is — nothing is “wrong.”

You’ve been coping. Holding things together.

Getting through the day. Pushing on when you’re tired.

That’s not weakness. That’s strength under pressure.

In this week’s YPS Psychology YouTube video, we talk about what coping really looks like — and why feeling exhausted doesn’t mean you’re failing.

If you’ve been feeling flat, overwhelmed, or just not quite yourself… this is for you.

You might notice ADHD symptoms feeling more intense during winter — more mental noise, lower tolerance, and quicker exhaustion.

That doesn’t mean things are getting worse. It often means your system is working harder with fewer resources available.

Many people notice this more at this time of year.

17/02/2026

If you have ADHD, winter can amplify fatigue, frustration, and task resistance.

Lower stimulation and reduced daylight can increase the effort required just to get through everyday tasks.

This isn’t laziness or regression. It’s a harder season for attention and regulation, and it deserves understanding rather than pressure.

Motivation naturally fluctuates, especially when energy is low. Relying on motivation alone can make wellbeing feel harder than it needs to be.

What often helps more is having small, familiar tools you can return to gently — even on days when effort feels limited.

Do you find repetition easier than motivation on low-energy days?

Valentine's Day can be beautiful.
But it can also be really hard.

Not everyone is in love.
Not everyone feels that they're someone else's first.
Not everyone is celebrating.

Some people are healing from heartbreak.
Some are grieving someone they’ve lost.
Some are quietly wishing things had turned out differently.

If today feels hard for you, please know this:
Your worth has never depended on someone loving you.
You are still valuable.
You are still needed.
You are still enough.

Love isn’t just romance.
It’s friendship.
It’s kindness.
It’s the way you keep going even when things hurt.

And sometimes, the most important love is the one you slowly learn to give yourself.

If today feels tender, be gentle with yourself.
Lower your expectations.
Take a walk.
Call someone.
Or simply rest.

There is nothing wrong with you for not being “in love” today.

We see you. 💛
