Our Wednesday afternoon Scrabble Club is growing in numbers! Our residents really enjoy the mental challenge and it was great to see groups of residents working together to find the best words possible. We even had Colin's daughter join us for the last part of the session and it was lovely to see the interaction between them 😊

We will remember them.
Several of our residents joined the village community today for the Remembrance Service. It was a solemn yet beautiful service that we were proud to be part of.

We welcomed Phoebe back to Redwalls to entertain us this afternoon. Phoebe is a wonderful singer and our residents just love listening to her and joining in with songs they know. We had songs from the musicals, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Elvis Presley to name a few.
Our residents had big smiles on their faces and sang and clapped along. It was great to see staff and families joining in too!

After the final of The Great British Bake Off our residents were inspired to do some baking of their own. They all worked together and made some fairy cakes which looked & smelled delicious!
There was lots of chatting about the best way to make cakes. Thankfully ours turned out ok despite one lady saying that our mix was too runny & wouldn't rise properly 😂

We welcomed Mark Whitby yesterday afternoon for a fun filled music session. He played a selection of well known songs, chatted to our residents and threw in a bit of balloon tennis as well! We had a spooktastic Halloween themed coffee afternoon today.
Our residents, families and staff enjoyed some fabulous bat and monsters cupcakes made by our talented chefs.

Poppy got in the Halloween spirit when she came for her monthly visit. The residents and families were delighted to see her and admired her Halloween hat.
As always these pet therapy visits are so rewarding for the residents. Some find stroking her fur very soothing, while other residents talk about their own pets or working dogs they've owned. 💕🐕

Our residents and families had an afternoon of singing, smiles and laughter today. We were joined by the choir from St Bede's Catholic Church. Our residents enjoyed a mix of hymns and non religious songs along with a poetry recital and a few jokes!
There were smiles all round and everyone agreed that it was a fantastic afternoon 😊

We had a wonderful movie afternoon this weekend. After lots of chatting with our residents they all decided they'd like to watch The Sound of Music.
We had a lounge full of residents families and friends. Everyone was singing and it was lovely to see all everyone enjoying themselves 😊📽️🎬
