This is what happens when a mum commits to getting strong, not just “getting smaller”!

This client came to me wanting to lose weight but she wasn’t overly concerned about the number on the scale, because her primary goal was to gain strength.

We focused on lifting heavy, building muscle and trying to stay consistent with the workouts, even when life got really busy. Slowly but surely the mum-tum that so many women struggle with started to get flatter and firmer.

This is body recomposition.

Weight loss doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need detox diets, shakes or cutting out all the foods you love. Most women just need to get the basics right - consistently.

Start here:
1. Eat more protein at breakfast – no more just tea & toast. Start the day with protein to stabilise cravings and stop the mid-afternoon crash.
2. Stop finishing your kids’ leftovers - those little bites of nuggets, chips and sandwich crusts can add up to 300–500 extra calories without you even noticing!
3. Eat from your plate, not your emotions - meals should fuel your body, not your feelings.

Nail these three simple habits and your energy, cravings and belly fat will all start to shift - without cutting carbs or living in the gym.

Happy 75th birthday to this superstar. He came to the UK at 21 years of age with no money and no plan. He got a job at Rymans earning £10 a week. His ambition to succeed and his hard work turned that humble beginning into a life full of opportunities.
