🎉🍾Nearly New Year🍾🎉

Yesterday we took the opportunity to celebrate 2025 and look forward to 2026 as we celebrated “Nearly New Year”.
We had scones with cream and jam, which had been homemade by our residents at the weekend, nibbles, fizz or beer and the wonderful Budgie played a variety of music for us to dance and sing along to too made even more fun as we finished off with Auld Lang Syne and a recap of last years London Fireworks display.

We all had a great time!

If you’ve visited us at St Mary’s this year then a heartfelt thank you to everyone and we wish everyone a Happy and Healthy New Year.

🎄FEELING FESTIVE FOR ELF DAY🎄

We’ve had the most wholesome and wonderful day here at St Mary’s today - we kicked things off with an Elf Day Christmas Gathering for the family members of our residents in the lounge where it was standing room only we had that many people turn up, we enjoyed a mince pie and some wonderful music from the incredibly talented singer Arianne Vocalist including all our favourite eras and some Christmas songs too, today was also Jeans birthday and a party isn’t a party without singing happy birthday!
It was lovely to see the smiles on everyone’s faces and feel the love in the room, then after lunch we were visited by the exceptional children from Razzamataz Theatre Schools Norwich Central who delighted our residents with some beautiful singing (they also heard it was Jeans birthday- cue another rendition of Happy Birthday), a huge thank you to Miss Katie for arranging this for us, and to the parents and families for bringing their children along today to perform.
We collected donations for the Alzheimer's Society throughout the day including a donation from the children who had held a raffle to donate to our cause in advance of their visit!

Thank you, thankyou, thankyou from the bottom of our hearts to all who visited us today and put such beautiful smiles on our residents faces.

🎄RESIDENT & FAMILY CHRISTMAS GATHERING🎄

Saturday 6th December.

Just a little reminder to the family members of our residents that this Saturday morning we will be having our Elf Day Christmas Gathering and would love for family members to join us for mince pies, hot refreshments and music from the lovely Arianne Vocalist.

We’d love to see everyone in their Christmas jumpers too!

We will be collecting for Alzheimer’s Society on the day should you wish to donate as we have been very fortunate to have them visit our coffee mornings on numerous occasions offering advice and support to anyone needing it this year.

Here’s Cathy getting in the festive SPIRIT feeding our Christmas cake - and yes spirit is the right word as she was very generous today with her extra measures. 🥃
We can’t wait to taste it at Christmas but for now we continue to feed the cake every week to keep it nice and moist and add flavour. 🎄
