Things don't happen TO you, they happen FOR you β¨
During my little break, this is one of the things I kept telling myself...
Now, that didn't serve me very well because I kept putting myself in the position of the victim and did nothing about it π€·ββοΈ
"Why am I the only one struggling with this? Why does this always happen to me? ...."
I realised after a couple weeks of wallowing in my self pity that there are things IN my control and there are things OUT of my control
Reframing my thoughts and telling myself that all of this was happening FOR me and not TO me changed things π
You can't always control what happens to you, but you can control your reaction to it and what you do as a result π€
Start taking ownership of your situation and think to yourself what can I do to help myself today? and how can I learn from it? π
