Good evening all.
A few pictures from the last week here at Broadacres.
There has been a member of the Activity team here every single day to provide activities for the Residents over the Christmas period.
This afternoon we had a new years eve party for our lovely Residents, lots of family members also joined us for an afternoon of fun and laughter.
Karen Bell sang a variety of well known songs and a few of us had a little dance πŸ’ƒ
We also celebrated our lovely Jean's 80th birthday today with a stunning cake from head chef Fiona.

As winter officially starts and the days get colder and darker, residents from across Greensleeves Care remind us of the many wonders this season can hold.

From snowball fights to The Big Freeze, their heart-warming winter memories speak of moments of kindness and togetherness that still feel close, even decades on.

Good evening.
This afternoon we held our annual Residents Christmas party.
Most of the residents enjoyed a little tipple of some kind while listening to the wonderful Ryan who was performing a selection of well known songs for us.
A few managed to get up and dance, most sang along and lots were jingling the bells I handed out in time to the music.
Afterwards there was tea with Christmas cupcakes or mince pies.
Everyone said that they had enjoyed the party, with one lady saying " it was the best party ive ever been to"!
I don't know how we will top that New years eve πŸ€” πŸ˜….

Good morning all.
We have a busy day here today!
Sarah Chow Fitness & Toning came for the last seated zumba session before her Christmas break . We even had Sophie and Hayley join in the shenanigans!
Not many residents this morning as lots and lots of Christmas visitors in the home this morning πŸ₯°.
This afternoon is our Christmas party for the Residents at 2.30pm.

Good morning all.
Last night was the last of our Family Christmas meals .
Broadacres invite all the Residents families to join them for a 3 course Christmas meal at the home before Christmas, as we realise that not all our residents are able to spend Christmas day with the families.
This enables them to enjoy a festive Christmas meal together in their own home.
Broadacres have provided this wonderful event for several years now.
Our guests enjoyed a soup starter, a full turkey dinner with all the trimmings followed by Christmas pudding or trifle.
Wine was provided and hot beverages with after dinner mints- all waitressed by Manager Kim and myself .
Last night we also had a large table in the drawing room made up of all the residents whose families were unable to make it , waitressed by Deputy Manager Abbey.
There were full bellies (including staff on shift!) and smiles all around.
What a lovely evening, and something Im proud and honoured to be a part of.πŸ₯°

Thank you to our Chefs Fiona and Kirk for all your hard work to make this possible, and all the staff that have helped- including the night staff that put the Dining room back to rights overnight after the events.

We also have our Residents Christmas party to look forward to this Friday, and a trip to the Theatre Royal Tuesday afternoon to see Cinderella the Pantomime 🌟

Good evening all.
What another busy week we are having leading up to to the big event.
Monday was exercise set to Christmas music followed by word wheels.
Tuesday we were lucky enough to be visited by the children from Neatishead primary school , they entertained us beautifully with some Christmas carols that they have been rehearsing ahead of their carol concert.
In the afternoon we visited the Forget me not cafe run by Brundall church . We received a wonderful warm welcome and will definitely visit them again in the new year.
This morning, we made some beautiful Christmas trees from pine cones, the results were amazing.
In the afternoon we played a Christmas edition of name that tune.
